Q:I signed up, now what? What can I do on Zisboombah.com and how do I work the website?

A: After your parents successfully activated your account, next time you log in, you have the option to take a video tour. Press play! The video tells you everything you need to know about Zisboombah.com. Make sure you have the volume on your computer turned on! You can watch the video tour again, anytime you want. Just go to your dashboard and scroll down to the bottom left corner where it says “Videos”. Then click “Take a Tour!”

Q:What if my parents do not get a confirmation email after I sign up for Zisboombah.com?

A: First, make sure your parents checked their email inbox for our confirmation email! If it’s not in their inbox, your parents should check the spam filter or “trash” section of their email account. Sometimes, if an email account has a strict spam filter, our confirmation email may end up in the spam or trash section. Also, go back to your profile and make sure you entered the correct email address for your parent. If you are still having trouble, try signing up one more time, just in case you forgot to click “enter”, or maybe you lost Internet connection while your request was being processed. If all else fails, send us an email and we can help you out! Email us at zbb@zisboombah.com.

Q:My parents are not getting the emails when I send them my Pick Chow! meals. How do I fix this?

A: In order to send a meal, you must be logged in and have your parents correct email address. Your parents will get the email even if they did not sign up. If you are not signed up, please do so and ask your parents if they got an email from ZisBoomBah. When your parents get the email, they must approve your ZisBoomBah account by clicking the link in the confirmation. When they have successfully activated your account, they will then get a second email letting them know that your account has been successfully approved. Once you’re sure your account has been properly created, and they are still not getting the emails, ask your parents to check their spam filter or trash section of their email account. Sometimes, if an email account has a strict spam filter, an email may end up in the spam or trash section. If this still doesn’t work, email us at zbb@zisboombah.com and we will be happy to check it out.

Q:How do I win the Meal of the Week contest?

A: To win Meal of the Week, go to “Pick Chow!” and create the yummiest, best-for-you five-star meal you can think of (all five stars will turn blue!) After you created and saved your meal, a list of options will come up to help you decide what you want to do with the meal you have created. Click on the tab that says “Submit to Meal of the Week.” You can also submit any of the meals you have already saved. Click the green “My Saved Chow” button on your dashboard, choose a meal and click “Submit to MOTW” on the right. After you submit your meal, the Zisboombah team will review it and decide if your meal is the best meal for our weekly winner! Q:What do I get if I win meal of the week?

A: You get a special Zisboombah surprise in the mail! Your meal and profile will also star on the home page of Zisboombah! Other users will be able to see your awesome meal, and learn from your expert meal-making skills! Tell your friends and family and they can try out the meal, become a fan, and write a review! You can then see what others are saying about your meal of the week! Your parents will be notified of your Meal of the Week and they will need to supply the address so we can send out the surprise. We will never ask you for your address or phone number. We will only ask your parents.

Q: I’ve been trying to make a five-star meal, but it’s pretty hard! Have any tips and tricks?

A: To get a five star meal, you must first choose AT LEAST one non-starchy vegetable, a grain, and meat or beans for your meal! Here are a few key pointers:

  • All of the meters need to be in the green zone.
  • Try to limit foods that contain large amounts of the three S’s (sugar, saturated fat and sodium) and make sure you are getting enough fiber.
  • How do you get fiber? Try whole wheat, fruits with skins, berries, beans, and leafy or green vegetables.
  • If you still are having trouble with getting your meal to reach five stars, try tricks like skipping desert, adding less toppings or sauces, and watching the amount of cheese in your meal!

Q:My parents would like to know more about how you’re keeping me safe online, since I can receive messages on Zisboombah and I have a “profile”. Who can send me messages, whom can I send messages to, and who can view my profile?

A: You can only send and receive messages from those people that your parents have approved. . Your parents must approve someone to be your friend so they can help us keep you safe. You can get messages from Zis Boom and Bah – they will from time to time send you an email about your foods and you can ask them questions as well!
